I tried this, but got one too many back in response.

In the perfect world other people's insults would roll off like water off a Duck's back. Why put up with them if you don't have too?

When I get the following replies after I kill someone, I have a standard answer.

"Nice HO"

"Nice chute killing"

"Nice spray and pray"

"Nice stick stir"

"Nice "

My reply is this:  "Thanks, I have been practicing.  Glad it is working."

If they can't take it, they should go play a box sim, because nobody here plays the way anyone else wants.

Other than that, I view Channel 1 as a couple things.  An open mic for people to spout their views on whatever tickles their gonads.  Amatuer night at the improv.  An online chatroom that happens to have a flight sim attached.  AH's version of WWF interviews with "Mean"  Gene Okerland.  A good way to talk to people that are your "friends" (I put it in quotes because many people I consider friends here I have never met, so I can't be sure that they really are my friends).

I don't login to the MA to see folks argue over that crap...we have the O'Club, which trust me, never disapoints.

I dunno....Channel One is awful entertaining for those long Lancaster sorties  :)

Watching Shane and Whels share their secret love for one another last night was enormously entertaining....

And neither do you Rude! :D

I usually squelch it.  It keeps me from laughing at little punks that think they are the toejam because they mention Hitler, etc.  They never had many friends and "their parents hated them" so, now it's me against the world.

I squelch it, saves me from vomiting.

I will killer or killee.

Actually, in Beta, it was small enough that a Zeroping AOL chat player would be bashed, or ignored off it in a hurry.

Beta Channel 1 made a small community of sorts, and also was a stage to setup great rivals which gave the game some sort of personal purpose, just as good gaming feuding should.

Now it's just a grey blur of impersonal whining, spotted with the 'annoying enough to make you .squelch xxx' some AOL chatboy.

But I havent gone as far as .squelch Channel 1... often anyway.

LOL—that’s an OL’ ONZ kill macro of sorts—it should be interpreted as a more like a .  More than likely fired after a kill or an inside joke exchanged on Channel1.

In AW the way the kill buffer worked was that when you shot down Player1 –on your end you would see a message “A Kill Has Been Recorded” while the arena would see “Player1 Shot Down.”  Many, many people in AW would fire a kill macro right after it on Channel 1.

So it would look like this:

Player1 Shot Down
Player2: You went down faster than Monica! –KILL--

Some people miss the clever little kill macros and I have seen limited attempts by some to try to resurrect it in AH!—I was never a fan and hope it never comes to AH.
