Without a doubt. Currently much of being a fighter pilot is physical. G-forces, vision, etc. A remotly piloted aircraft is limited only by the mind of the pilot, and it's own construction.
Unmanned fighters and aircraft will never completly takeover though. Trusting AI to determine its own targets is a scary proposition, and remote links are too easily jammed. Unmanned attack craft may work in afganistan, but against a country with a sophisticated military, they'll be of limited use.
There will always need to be someone up there in a plane. Unless some sort of revolutionary unjammable communication system is devised.

Will saddam grow bold enough to try and use his migs against manned american aircraft?
