BTW seriously it is possible...because HTC often releases 2 different type of a plane in each version (example: see HurriIIC/D, F4F/FM-2, BostonMk.III/A-20G).

Ki-61-II and Ki-100 pack would be amazing set for IJAAF.
Of course, other IJAAF fighters are needed though...

not to hijack the thread too badly, but Mitsu could you point me towards some good info on the Ki-84?  I must admit I'm pretty much in the dark about late war Japanese fighters.  The curiosty was piqued when I was reading a recent article in Flight Journal (the special issue on the P-51) and it had an article about a P-51C that was captured by the Japanese and put through the paces, and they IJA pilots were rather impressed saying things like "it would out turn the Ki-84" did the IJA move away from the design philosophy that put manuverability above all else?

Ki100 damn pretty plane!  They have the only existing one at the Royal Air Force Museum 'Cosford' in England.  I went there late last year and they have some impressive stuff including a Ki46 Dinah, Ki100-1b, Me262, Me410 etc....

These are some pics I found from one of the Cosford websites:-

Ki100 ith 'Dinah' behind it (taken from Japanese website on Cosford - http://isweb41.infoseek.co.jp/motor/saiwm/cosford/cosford.html)

Hi guys,

Slightly off topic, but you seem to have some good information, so anyone know the internal fuel capacity for the N1K2?

Well, they both started off as fighters with an inline engine modified to accept a radial.

I vote for the Ki-61-II-Kai.  Only 99 or so were completed be for the rest of the airframes were converted to the Ki 100.  However a few of the 99 were completed with a buble canopy like the one used on the Ki 100.

I have only seen one picture of this aircraft and from the front quarter.  The buble canopy does not stand out.  Currently Kit bashing two Tamyia 48 scale kits to creat a model of the Ki61-II with a buble canopy.

Ki.100 - wingspan 39' , 1500 hp engine
La-7 - wingspan 32',  1850 hp engine

La-7 is faster because it has more horsepower and less drag.
