It takes 8 US/Brit/Canadian rockets to kill a vehicle hangar at a vehicle field.

It takes 18 US/Brit/Canadian rockets to kill a fighter hangar at an airfield.

We all agree it takes 2,500 lb of bomb ordnance to kill a fighter hangar, therfore each rocket carries approximately 2500/18 = 138.88 pounds of ordnance.

So, the ordnance required to kill a vehicle hangar at a vehicle field is 8*138.88 or 1,111.11 pounds.

So yes, a 500kg bomb will kill a vehicle hangar at a vehicle field (or come very close to it.)    

All calculations assume a direct hit on the structure.

I was beginning to think my technique was off.

I normally take 2x1000 for a VH, and this is enough even at an air base. See AKCurly's calculations. I'll kill the acks with a salvo of rockets first, then drop ord on the VH.

As for direct hits, I think I do it right. Have a look at this film, which I shot in the online game. To see the bombs hit, go to external view (F3) and hold down 2 on numeric keypad for rear view. This was V91, a rook base, but right after this was taken, I flew the goon in there for capture.

rgr that but a 500kg in ah only equals 1000lbs (ht acknowledged this and said he will fix it)

So either way 500kg still wont kill a vbase vhs

ok just tested it  the  fw190f8 takes 1 500kg and 3 50kgs to kill a vbase vh.

Thats 1150lbs
