Near Enumclaw...okay, near Buckley..now are you lost?  Look at a map of WA state, then look at Mt. Rainier.  Draw a line NNW of Mt. Rainier about 25 miles and you see a lake on the map, thats called Lake Tapps. We live across the street from Lake Tapps.  32 miles SSE of Seattle and 20 miles ESE of Tacoma.

So do I hold down the 'B' key and then set the altitude while I'm in the F6 mode?

Celebrate my 36th birthday by going out to a nice dinner with my wife.  I figure the bastards stole my 35th birthday, they aren't going to get this one.

Try to avoid breaking down at work when the church bells start tolling at 0846 (first impact) and the emergency vehicles sound sirens at 1027 (second collapse).

Get some work done, though not as much as I should.

Pray for the victims, pray for our military in harm's way, pray for our nation.

Try very hard not to surf the Internet from my cube, and fail.  But that's normal.

Me...restock our emergency food, water and medicine (30 days supply of each) as I've done each year for the last 12 years. I'm using 9/11 as a reminder date.

Heh, no bunker Bug! But yes, I'd have internet access since the lower part of the house is GenTran wired for the generator.  The best part is when we do lose power up here once or twice a year, I make an effort to turn my porch light on just to say "neener neener" to my power-less neighbors. :D

I ended up running 4 miles along Bayshore in my red, white, and blue USA running suit - in the rain.  I listened to the prayers and speeches along with thousands of other patriots.  It was very touching running down the road with the orchestra music carrying across the 6 miles of speakers they layed out. I almost felt like I was in a movie. If the weather had cooperated, the demonstration could've been a lot bigger than it was.

Went to work and didn't think about it.

911 was a freaky day last year. I worked at Crystal City (near the Pentagon). Everyone was really on edge and the two hour exodus from Arlington to Alexandria (seven miles away) was just surreal. Smoke filling the air, sirens going... talking heads in a near panic state all over the airwaves. F-16 fighters escorting airliners into National Airport... etc.

It was good to just keep my head down and get to the normal grind.
