I get many CTDs from this patch.
I've sent some CTD films to HT though.

I still get the CTD's. They seem to be random and I do get to finish a flight on occasion. Other times I get the ctd as soom as I click out of the tower to the plane.

My currnet problem is not AH related, at least I don't thinks so. It seems there is some sort of plug and play conflict between my ABIT Media XP and my Cougar. Since I've unplugged my Cougar I've had zero problems with my machine. Prior to that I'd have about a one in ten shot of having WinXP hang during bootup with the blue screen of death (specific to plug and play). Once that happens, the only way to get the machine to boot WinXP is to reset the BIOS.

Right now it's easier just to unplug the Cougar as I haven't had any time to troubleshoot further.

Cant comment yet,  I have an issue with RoadRunner right now, sending someone out on Wed to check the lines,  unusally high transmission rates causing my modem to be disconnected from RR's server.
Also running Pingplotter and was seeing a lot of packet loss in BBN servers in Atlanta on some nights and ATT Servers in Californina on other nights.

SMUTT, try reloading XP,  maybe even reformat and reload.
I had a very similar issue with XP.  Installed a new Hercules 64mg video card couple of months ago and it worked fine.   Ever since I got back from the Con my pc would fail on boot up and lock up, and never in the same place, sometimes at the Bios it would lock and sometimes all they way to XP loading then it would lock up.

Now other games work fine, but when I boot up AH my screen would lockup when I started to fly.  Lowered the Video down a notch and its OK, but I think there is an issue with my video drivers and XP.   Also just got a X45 setup and it may not be stable with XP either.  Supposed to be some new drivers out this month for Saitek and XP.

HT sent me this today about my problem with loss of UDP and then ISP disco. I have no got the time tonight to check into it but if it works for me I'll post back.

Hmmm,...try doing a traceroute or a PingPlot.  Also,..make sure your modem
is not sharing an interrupt with something like the sound card or USB
device.  This would cause those symptoms.

I have had no random CTD's since the patch.

However, I HAVE had some what I call "non-random CTD's".

Since the last patch, every single time I have downloaded a terrain upon entering an arena, I get CTD'd when I try to spawn.  Every single time (four times total now so far).  Upon restarting AH everything works perfectly again until the next time I need to download a terrain.

Has anyone else noticed this sort of pattern?

I still get them but 90% LESS often if i dont use transmit on AH vox.

if you guys are getting CTDs regular try not using vox.seemed to cure mine almost completely.

problem of course is ive had to stop talking!!! terrible loss for all concerned!! Im surprised people havent started to complain about this terrible loss to their nights flying than just silly CTD's :D :o :D

P.s. just in case this might help HTC this is how it often happens:
I transmit for a while talking away happily then after maybe 5 mins online i get a sudden lost udp message and im dumped to desktop.

weird thing is then when i return to the arena i have horrendous corrupted sound which would make the hairs on a russian lumberjacks back curl!(even tighter :)) high pitched screeches etc.only way to get it back to normal is a total reboot.restarting AH doesnt help.

I havent noticed any similar event causing the CTD like bombers nearby or anything.Just that when i stopped using vox they pretty much stopped happening.Could this have something to do with the part of the programme that decides proximity? as in decides you are within range of vox or not? just a wild stab in the dark with a claymore ;)

Maybe I should point out I never, ever transmit on vox (don't even have a functional mic).

Could the use of Vox be a pattern?

Very stable.

Plus I transitioned my PC, went from a 1Ghz Celeron with a P3V4X board, Geforce 2MX, and SB Live, to a Athlon 2100XP+ with an A7V333 board with onboard sound, and a GF3Ti200.

Both systems were stable after the 1.10 patch that solved the buff formation crashes.

The thing that never changed was my net connection, I run a W2K Server with Winroute and a PCI ADSL modem. Its very stable, and I suspect 90% of peoples problems are their net connections.
