AFAIK the P-51B and D used the same boost in normal configurations. Both ran at 61 inches normal max power and 67 inches emergency power. In different configurations (like 150 octane gas) different amounts of boost could be used. Also, altitude of top speed is somewhat above critical altitude, which is why the -D maxes out at around 24-25K instead of 21K
