HT should add some really big level targets that affect strat...Then we'd see some cool buff runs..add some night fighters with radar and AH would be twice as fun!~

I would like to see the night lengthened to 30 mins to an hour.  Icon range could be reduced to 300-500 yards and radar equipped nightfighters could be added.  Of course, this would be no easy change...you would have to add the planes, basic programming and the extras such as searchlights.

To conclude, nightfighting is a good idea, but needs a long, hard look at before giving it the go ahead.

Bombing is fine...If you suk at it ..no wondr you say you cant bom ..either at day or night...

LOLO yes Stukas are useless....Liek a 1/3 of all these planes..BUT..They are great for scenarios....

ANd hell i love those Whistles ....but im not flying that thing for any "Tactical"  reason....

I like Night...it is a bit short tho....

My thing is ...WHY CANT WE DO missions at night,,,and the nigth is tooo short to have a large scale attak ..under dark..

owell..it s really not a big deal

And I liek Ripsnorts....We get to boogie down at night..."Freaks Come out At night"...lolol

If we're going to have night, let's have a REAL NIGHT:  NO ENEMY ICONS.

Otherwise, punt.

I'd like to see cockpit lights (ie the instruments having a red or blue glow so they could be seen better.) Also, the enemy icons being reduced automatically at night to a distance of 3.0k yards.

The problem with that Tilt of course is how do you tell where's the enemy or who are the enemy. If it was an Axis Vs Allies setup then yes for example the CT but in a MA enviroment I think 3.0k icons is well and reasonable to let the less experienced fight and participate in it aswell, considering too that since it's a FFA arena all planes for all the countries available at any one time, people would just be killshooting themselves out of the sky,how else could you tell a friend or foe?

Oooh yeah! Not only is it annoying night, but the icons are completely gone too!

That's so incredibly unfun sounding I'm surprised anyone would even consider it.

Let me direct your attention to Il2 online play. Now, I don't want to get into flight models and whatnot, but I do want to mention the iconless arenas. All anyone ever does in an iconless environment is fly cap and occasionally chase dots. You spend 2% of your time actually fighting an enemy, and 98% of the time flying around looking for them / diving on friendlies.

That is not fun.

Your virtual eyes will never match your real eyes, and I believe someone mentioned you're practically legally blind when it comes to comparing your virtual sight with that of what you have in the real world.

Do you like flying blind? Do you think it's more realistic?

Night is bad. Fighting in the night also is no fun because you have a much harder time judging your enemy's vector. Night with no icons is about as fun as night with no ammunition. It might as well be.

The thing that annoys me most about night is that the lighting gets completely screwed up. The last time I was flying during the night, I noticed that when I was flying toward the moon, my control panel got all bright and washed-out, as if the moonlight were reflecting off of it into my face -- but in order for that to happen, there would have to be a big-ass mirror behind me...
