Need Help with Monitor
« on: October 01, 2002, 08:05:15 AM »
I have a EMC Multisystem 19inch Monitor (Model # 998M) that will shut off after 5 to 15 minutes of being on. It won't stay on longer then 15 minutes. I've changed the monitor settings to a lower setting and that didn't work. I've updated the drivers for it, didn't work. I changed monitors to a Gateway monitor I have  and it worked great all day. I seached the web all last night (instead of flying) with no luck at all as to my problem.
I'm at a loss as to what to check next. Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

unless you are qualified to work on the monitor you'll have to take it to a shop who is

Sounds like something is fried inside

Had a broken 21" monitor given to me but the labor involved plus parts for the cheapest possible fix was more than a new 19" monitor.
