As Jekyll posted Carrot has passed away with his family around him in the small hours of the morning. It has been a long and at times difficult fight for him and his family.

He was a good mate, a great stick and vintage fighter enthusiast.

I'm probably lashing out as a part of the grieving process but if I ever meet at a con any of the people above who have posted toejamty comments, then don't be suprised if I punch your diddlying lights out.

HTCs fault? NO! just wish you would done with this one as you have with others much sooner. If any thread should have been locked up and deleted this was it, very sad indeed.
Is everyone as cold hearted as some have posted here? NO! But those so called fanboys did nothing but tarnish a decent reputation and should get a one way ticket out of here. truely a low point for this 'community'

This thread contained some of the most tasteless posts I've read here. Sadly it's the Yanks showing calous insensitivity to Carrot's friends, which I find embarassing. The only redeeming thing this thread provided is it allowed some insight into the character of some people I had previously respected. There are times when the best thing to say is nothing at all and this was one of those times. Too bad some of you are too thick to realize that.

To those who have lost a friend, my condolances over your loss. 35 is way too young. And to those of you who displayed such calous insensitivity, I pity you. Seriously.

I'm sorry to hear of Carrots death. I send my condolences to his friends and family.

The one thing I never expected when I joined the sim community, was the friendships that grow between players, squaddies, etc.
And whenever one of dies the community loses something. A unique perspective, an insight, a person.

And here we were trying to score points for our pathetic little ego games, while one of us lay dying. I have never been ashamed of this community, until now.

Guys and gals. Everyone knows that a majority of a sim community is composed of decent caring folks. Every forum has it raggers. AH has just as great at community as wb, ww2ol or any other. I painted with a broad brush again with creamo, that is my bad. Apologies. I know carrot would have and his family will find the posts uplifting in a time of sorrow.

My most sincere condolences to Carrot, his family, and all of his friends. I know how much Raxx has been tortured by his friends suffering from our online conversations, e-mails, etc. It is quite apparent that Carrot made many friends and the AH community has suffered similar losses in the past and, as such, it's a shame that some would taint this thread with their bitter infighting.

Godspeed Carrot. May your spirit fly the way you loved to online.
