I haven't been able to fly much lately given 14 mo. old twins. Further it seems much of my squad is either hanging in the MA, doing something productive with their lives or has moved on to IL2. Last night I had some time and logged on to find almost 50 folks in the CT. I flew two sorties in the time I had available. The first was handling a 3 ship formation as part of a box of 12 B17's hitting 16. The second was a solo fighter intercept of Luftwaffle interlopers. Both were a BLAST and involved voice com with folks whom I have never flown with before. All exchanges were intense and followed up with plenty of 's and good natured chatter.
The truly neat thing was this wasn't a unique experience for me in the CT. It's always this way. It's really nice to find something like this that allows you to drop your pack after a hard day and have a little fun. It really helps me to unwind although there are times when the action gets me pretty stoked and I find myself (i'm so ashamed...) dreaming about some encounter.
Just wanted to say thanks to all those with whom I get to spend time. You guys are great!:)
