My Trip to Toronto
« on: September 27, 2002, 02:37:56 PM »
I recently had to go to Toronto for some business meetings and I must say that this was the first time I ever had to venture across the border- except for my frequent trips to the great strip clubs on the border.  It was kinda weird-driving into the interior of a country that I thought only existed to service Americans with good strip clubs and Cuban cigars.   Here was a real living and breathing country- and so close to my own.  Toronto was a great surprise!  So clean and so big.  Very nice city-well organized….very bad traffic I must say.  My meetings went well and my Canadian colleagues were very friendly.  This was the first time I had ever had a conversation with a Canadian that wasn't swinging from or pole or trying to peddle something.  WOW.  These Canadian guys were really nice! I had to tell them though that I didn't give a crap about hockey or the Grey cup. Oh well….give Canada a chance guys…not so bad-and worth invading some day!!!:)

Some will fall in love with life and drink it from a fountain that is pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain

Good for you 28sweep. Its good sometimes to leave the boudaries of your farm/ghetto. It helps your mental and physical situation. It expands your narrow views and shows you how rest of the world breathes and lives, and  it makes you realise that  the farm or ghetto you've been living in all your life,  isnt the center of the world. The fresh air and clean streeets  help you clean your smog breathin cheap cigare somoking lungs,. Glad we could help you out pal, thats what friends are for :)

lol Pongo :)

I judge your country by it's hockey teams... doh!

actually I had a buddy (just moved back to Vancouver) that loved the leafs.. but of course they can't quite get the cup (these latter decades) and tend to trade away their best players.. what's with that ?!?

Don't judge our country by our Le Prime Minister either..:)

If you really want to experience Canada..Try driving a couple hours north of Toronto for some fabulous fishing!
