no really ; what could it have been ?
a paratrooper who couldn't find the maproom ? someone who bailed ?

last night it ran up to my (stranded) tank and started 'hugging' it !! i was afraid it might be a suicide attack or something ;-)
it got in real close and moved all around the tank until finally it stepped back a bit and i could shoot it with the gun on top.

somebody ever seen this ?

I think it's an actual bailed "online pilot" moving on the ground around you. IF you shoot it he'll still blow up but the kill on him was already awarded to the player who'd shot him out of his (or hers!) plane.

Anytime you see an enemy "Chute" icon, drop what you're doing and kill it. Go out of your way to pop that sucker.

hehe ... to be honest i was kind of wondering if i was losing it.

first i run into a Panzer without an icon, so i can't tell if it's friendly or not - it wasn't and killed me - then my LVT gets 'stuck' on some kind of underwater obstacle giving me some kind of washing-machine experience and then this 'chute' starts hugging my tank !!

Any ground vehicle without an icon is an enemy. Only friendly ones have icons.

Goner,

You an change the icon display by keypress ctrl-i. I fly in normal icon mode which icons everything but you can turn them off or just the enemy icons.
