Starting this Friday the Combat Theater(CT) arena will be setup with an European, early 1944 planeset to represent the Mighty Eighth's Big Week operations.
http://216.91.192.19/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=64166 So in an attempt to recreate the missions of this time period, some of the CT regular squads/pilots are planning on setting up and running a player event/mission on Tues. Oct 1 at 9:30pm EDT. We are going to try and launch a large B17 raid with escort and intercepting fighters.
So whether you are a buff squad/pilot looking to fly in a large formation to bomb a strategic target, fly escort as a 'lil friend or defend the Fatherland in the dreaded Luftwaffe please stop by and participate. All are welcome
Although this invitation is to all AH pilots/squads, I want to really extend it to any new guys that might find something like this interesting. There we'll be plenty of people to offer a helping hand to get you set up and participating in the mission.
Also just to make it clear, I am not a CM or a CT staff member. This is not an "official" event it is purely volunteer/player cooperation in the Combat Theater. The CT will be open for business as usual and by no means does your presence there require you to participate in the mission. Just looking to recreate something of a historical experience but yet is fun for all.
