I saw couple weeks ago another Ferret for sale..
it was in better shape and had nice desert yellow painting :)

There was a picture of it parket at parking lot of some market or similar.
Imagine the people who walks to their cars, with an armoured car sitting at the parking lot, with barrel pointing roughly towards them :D

Those things are fun.  My dad had one for a couple of years.  (He sold it to a friend of ours).  The sterring wheel is mounted on the front glacis plate so it angles away from you.  And it has a type of "pre-selective" gearing.  You can put the shifter in third gear (say you're in second), but it wont shift until you push the clutch in.  This way you can put it in the gear you think you'll need before you actually shift.  My dad called his a "tractor" (we farmed at that time) so he didn't have to have it licensed, althougth all the signals etc. worked.

Of course, it's not as cool unless you have the .30cal Browning to go in the turret.  Which we did.  :D

The ultimate SUV, but without the cargo capacity and fancy stereo.
