Disco and scoring?

First of all, I understand that a disco needs to count in some negative way to keep people from doing it on purpose.

But why does it have to count as a death? I have two flights so far and the great servers gave me a disco both times. Now I have 3 kills but my K/D is at 1.5 :-(  

Also, I guess the servers don't count any of your rounds when you disco? I say this because it says my hit% is 0.00%. Well I surely used some ammo to get those 3 kills  So even if its a bad ratio I think it should be something other than 0%.

I hope this isn't a indication of how this tour is going to be for me..... ie two flights = two discoes so far  Oh and I should prolly add that that was with just under 30 min flight time total.

well you could score a disco as a ditch, bail, or capture, but....

all three of those are considered "deaths" when figuring the k/d stat.

The K/D doesn't really matter that much as mine always stinks anyway.

But what about the Hit %, my aim is bad enough without this happening.

Connections have been bad all day. I had a fighter gunnery of 18%, until this evening when things got very laggy. In one flight it hit the toilet and tanked at less then 3%. Now my fighter gunnery is probably screwed for the entire tour, but hopefully one or two flights won't tank it that bad in the long run.

I feel like a idiot even whining about this stuff. I just always try to see how long I can go before my first death in each catagory, each tour. So when I discoed on my first flight I was like, no f'in way did that just happen. The second flight just made me leave think that HT has something against me

Oh well, im sure ill get over it, since im not really a rank mongrol anyway. Although it is nice to be up there

Not quite.
A ditch is NOT counted as a death in the k/d stats.  It does affect your "points" score, and perks, but isnt chalked up as a death.

The effect on your score is equivilent to 1/2 of a death.

Yeah Disco's suck, lowered my K/D quite a bit aswell this tour due to one disco only
