New Terrain path...Nuttz?

Nuttz (or anyone), what steps should I go through to get a terrain approved by HT?
I'm assuming:

rough strat map first..
but I'd like to know some of the details and pitfals that I'm sure you've been through already.

Best to get HT in with you from the get go.

Email him, or call him, ask him what he wants... tell him what you'd like to do.. then start drawing the rough map outline and strat zones and stuff.

Just so you don't spend time on it, then end up having to go back over it.
