PT boats smoke generator, can we have it work?

You all know that big tank on the stern of the PT boat well it is the smoke generator, when trigered it gemerated smoke a huge clood that would deploy behind the PT as it moved if memory serves it lasted for a given amount of time and then was expended. it would be a nice feature if we could use smoke to cover our aproach or withdrawl fom a situation like we do in the panzer.

i agree they are insanely easy to kill........

but can you imagin those pt schwarms after ya sink a cv all filling the deck with smoke some dieing over and over each time putting out more smoke.........

hell cant be no worse then the cloud layer....

Check this out:

 

 The 35 gallon bottles mounted on the stern expelled titanium tetrachloride, which billowed into thick white fog when released into the atmosphere.

 with a few quick turns of the wrench tanks could be quickely discarded overboard,the tank would float and ack as a decoy.

tac i dout it would be worse then the cloud banks or hanger/field smoke.

Besides it would "hug" the deck like the pnzr smoke rounds.

And if you fly through it then the pt will probrably kill you.

It would be interesting to see how it would be used, i cant imagine it being much worse than smoke over a large field.

If memory serves me, HT stated awhile back that the PT -Would- have a Smoke genorator, it was just that they didn't have the way to make it work when it came out.
