that's what I did. Got most of it covered. The striped makes me crazy, top wings not being same scale ... but I'll prevail. Definitly not skiner friendly.

ive only worked with the seafire hurri2c and the c47 and the c47 was best to work with. what really bugs me is how with the hurri your wings are in different files (1 is with rudder, wheels, elavator and something esle the other is with fuselage.)

heres the process i go through to make them

1 white out the entire thing
2 put in my shape lines so i know where to paint
3 put in base colours for the camo
4 put in rest of camo
5 put on panel lines
6 put on insignia and any extra little things with ailerons etc.

of course i have to do all this using the gimp.

best on ive done is put desert camo on c47 and i still need to put in panel lines and insignia (what country was the c47 from?)

Mitsu... Pokie told me that you have to go into the Shpfilter file (somewhere in the editor directory) and delete from the list the shapes that you want to show up in the object list.

Thanks again, Pokie.

guys please , when people asked me for help with the film viewer i spent a lot of time helping, not one of you guys has helped us new guys :(

can someone run through how its done?

I have read the help file a hundred times over but im getting stuck at LOADS of points in it. times where it gives you instructions and you follow them to the letter but then it refers to files that are supposed to be there and they arent. like this:

'After the .bmp files are edited to your satisfaction, copy only the edited files into your ../HTC/ahedit/terrains/myterr/texsrc folder.  Start the Terrain Editor and locate one of the edited objects to view the new skin.'

well i havent got a texsrc folder?? :(the only folder created when i saved textures for 190a5 from the editor is this folder:

'All of the textures for that shape will be exported as .bmp files into your ../HTC/ahedit/terrains/myterr/savedtex folder.  '

the savedtex folder was created and i edited the Bmp. for the '190A5' the 'TAIL' and 'SPIRAL' and then replaced the old ones with my edited ones

but when i go back to the editor and add object 190a5 it puts an old 190a5 skinned object. What am i doing wrong?

the texsrc folder must be why its not working but what do i have to do to create it? and what should be in there?

please help, It will help others who are new too.

When you open your MYTERR folder in Windows Explorer and while the MYTERR folder is still highlited in blue move mouse cursor to top of window and click on

File
New
Folder

Rename it      texsrc

Put your altered stuff in there.
Also that's where the clipboard map goes also when you create it.
