my hard disk is f**ked up and i think i've lost all my data, maps and all, looks like they're lost

and yes hawk, that means d-day

I'm really sorry with you, BenDover! We all know how big work is making terrains. Can you show your hard disk to some specialist, they can nowdays do unbeliavable repairings...

CD Burners make excellent backup devices and they cost less then $100 on average now.

i have a cd burner, but never got round to backing it up (how does that saying go?)

i still don't know the extent of the damage though, so who knows?

you might want to look into Norton Disk Doctor..
it's saved me and my associates a time or two...

of course, now backups are automatic but....

I work for the local gov't so prices aren't only different, ...I don't actually pay for them...
