agree with the mission theory.

anyone wanting to lead fellow players, just keep making missions.
certainly your squad mates will join and over time as you keep making missions that are succesful and fun for your team then more will want to join.

its pretty simple:

if its a fun good mission, more will join the next one.

if its boring or uncoordinated withou clear or reachable objective, it will be harder to get people to join the next one. but it is necessary to experiment and make some lousy missions to learn to make good ones.

aces high is a free will online game with no enforced command structure and most who play may not be in favor of taking orders from a 15 yr old in the free time they spend playing the game. they will however choose to work together and follow other players if they choose to do so of their own accord.

to tell them

That's the operative statement. Think about it.

By posting a mission your not telling anyone to DO anything.

Your OFFERING a chance to JOIN a mission with an objective.

Offering and telling are two different things.

Offering a mission is much more productive..

Just make sure all these missuns your planning don't involve an enemy CV close to a friendly base...

We in the trenches don't need and don't want the help :)

That big group of pilots hashing it out between the CV and the base are having a blast.

Win the war somewhere else. It's a BIG map ;)

As I understand it from my dweeb point of view, resistance isn't a requirement for fun in base capture. Taking the base is the fun for some explainable reason....

So your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated :)

44mag... did it ever occur to you that thos "90%" attacking a worthless base are not so much attacking a worthless base as .... other planes?  red ones?   You would think that someone who likes 44 mags would be more fun.

anyway, it's a 357 but in AW you could only have 5 spaces for your handle and 357MAG was too long so i used 44MAG and when i came to AH i just kept the handle.

You can't assign someone a country leader. If it is not good, people will not follow. Strat oriented pilots of country follow the one, who can bring the result; furballers want some action, and do not care if the die in a process; scoremongers want acks down, planes to vulch, some targets to get down if they are in attack mode, and to land after it. The one, who want people to follow him shall keep this 3 in mind. He also shall be polite, asking and not insisting, explaining and not ordering, taking all the blame if mission fails, and crediting people for success. Good sence of humor is a plus.

From the other hand you can create a tactical wing, if your country has enough strat squads. These squads can have a rotated leaders, or some kind of stab, and soon you will see people will start joining that tactical wing missions.

No way. To win a war you need not only a tacticians, but a strategists also. Missions are a tactical level, mission usually interested in capturing field. But at strategic level field capture may be a great problem, or just useless.

Well, I think missions are a good thing, it gives no squad fliers a chance to organise on a volunteer basis.

If you want to organise, then start a squad and advertise it as a territorial combat squad(capturing fields). In addition, as a squad you could post a mission to get some extra pilots to help out.

umm Yes.

The gangbang planner and mishun generals make no allowance for "survival". Its 1 wave of suicide after enother.

Dont sell me "we were on a mishun and I just happened to fly straight into the ground, 3 times"

The idea that 25 guys rushing to a field is an "organized raid" is pretty funny.

Anyway  its your money and time do what you want. I surely dont want the "mishun mentality" pushed out side of the gangbang planner. No country "cos" or any of this nonsense. I personally care nothing about field capture or "winning". But you never hear me on channel 2 ranting that we need "less organization" like you hear the "generals".

I know you are going to tell me "well I never suicide" well thats the samething they all say and we still have an arena full of suiciders.

Folks who want organization, join a squad , or fly events.

I gotta agree in some part with everyone but GA.

You can't force organization upon people in a game that they have to pay for in order to play.  All that will accomplish is to increase the animosity between the different camps in gameplay.

The best thing to do if you want to be able to count on cooperation and teamwork is to form a squadron of likeminded people and hope everyone signs on for squad night.  Once you accomplish that you can organize within the limits of your squadron.

If you want more people, get them yourself.  It may seem hard, but it's the best way

well.... I admit that assigning a supreme commander would allow us to win that new corvette and two week island vacation that is the prize for "winning the war"....

sure.... My way is a lot more fun but whjat do I have to show for it?   6 or 7 thousand worthless "perk" points.

A 357 is a fine gun but everything it can do a 44 can do better.
