Probably a better idea to have mailed account with this but I'd guess HTC would be waiting for the cheque to clear before they set your account up.

OK, seems to be a glitch in the process.

I had an account it, it was a limited gift, it got deleted. So I needed to setup a new account.

The problem arrises in that I ASS_UMED that in that because the Pre-Pay form contained the same information for setting up a new account they set it up for you. You STILL have to create a new account online otherwise there is nothing to apply the credit to.

They ASS-UME that you already have an account and that your just pre-paying for it.

It would probably save a lot of grief if on the Pre-Pay page or somewhere else that they state if your account has been deleted or you are starting a new account that you must Creat an Account online first, then send your pre-pay form.

I still am a litttle upset that 2 days ago I sent an email to billing asking for status and have not gotten a response to date, which could have cleared this up MUCH earlier than 3 days after they receive payment, and this post wouldn't exist.

It's a mix up that could, in the future, be avoided by a line or two of text added to the Pre-Payment form.

With a Credit card it's more instant.

And NO I am NOT getting a credit card.

HTC has been very responsive to me whenever I have a problem. The other day I forgot my password, filled out the form and whoever read it e-mailed me my password within a minute or two. Impressive service since this was in the middle of the night.

BTW, FT_Animal, notice the boss is asking about this on a Saturday, on what should be his own time.

That's a pretty classic example of how HTCs customer support works.

if you have a bank acct get a debit card from the bank, use it just like a credit card but no interest and no debt

you can also have the bill charged to your checking acct every month , thats what i do.

When the 16th is maybe a week away..

THAT'S when I step up the panhandling..

Most times, one day of panhandling is enough to cover the costs..

Then I shave, and store "those" cloths away until next month..

Works for me :)

No Hot Mail accounts on *my* end. It's possible that the origonal guy who actually setup the old account (gift) may have had a Hot Mail account, dunno tho. But not on my end ;-)

BTW thanks for the reply

and thank Doug for getting me squared around, VERY quickly, once we figured out what the stall was.

In my recent experience I have found it MUCH harder to cancel a Warbirds account then open a Aces High account.

And why didn't that surprise me :)

Sherry Miracle at iEN has always been very helpful to me but the problem is you have to mail her directly and not everyone has her mail, if you try the normal channels of communication with iEN it can take a while. I've never had any problems with accounting with HTC, their customer service is top notch.
