F3 – F1 – F3 – F1 – F5 – F1

Yeah, that’s pretty hard.  Fighters are supposed to have SA but bombers are not?

Actually... never.  :)

The only thing I really care about is the radar, because without any kind of dar (bar or dot) it makes it kinda tough to find a fight.  Sure, you can always up at some field thats getting slammed by 80 guys, but that isn't much fun in my book.

In fact, I don't even know what the strat targets actually DO.  I believe HTC said that he believed bombers should be able to remove a countrys ability to ATTACK, but not defend.  I guess maybe with the new zone they could make it so strat targets effect every field in the zone?  Like if you hit a bullet factory (whatever those are, the ones that look like bullets) then all of the fields in that zone have their 'bullets' disabled.  Well, hopefully just ordinance.  And maybe if you hit a troop factory, all the barracks in the zone are temporarily disabled.  Same goes for the fuel, except I really hate it when fuel gets disabled so I hope HTC puts the fuel bunkers in really hard underground places, that only a 23,000 pound Grand Slam bomb has a chance of destroying :).

fffreeze20 - I disagree completely with your statement that people are not upping bombers because they do not have the skill. I have worked long and hard on improving and get at least 60% hits. But there are no viable targets that help with your countrys war effort. So why bother.

As to the guns, I think you are wrong again. When you are in formation ,you are stuck in the command plane and the view from that plane until you are shot down. Then you can switch to #2 plane. Read the stats from before new bombsight and last tour and you will see bombers are shot down now at twice the rate as before. The drones are like sitting ducks. And don't make too quick a turn, they go on home by themselves.

Why is it when you go into your bombsight, every one else on the plane closes their eyes and some people think thats fair.

The suggestion in first message was a good one and I agree with it.

fffreeze, try taking a bomber formation up about ten times in a row and maybe you will get an idea of what was meant by that suggestion.

JimBear old buff killer.I miss those fights too. Some had my knee bouncing up and down like a jumping bean.Pretty intense stuff.

Never could shut an entire base down although I could do it some bad damage.

And I miss not being able to break my B26 kill record. What a fun plane for fighting.

Oh well, back to my Jabo. Ho hum.
