HTC--

I made some comments in another newsgroup (BW) regarding this issue with callsigns.  Why am I bringing this up here?

I post this here because this is your house and I wanted to be sure you guys saw this.  ALL of you.

When I was posting on the BW newsgroup in an angry state of mind, I made some comments to the effect that I would make an effort to damage HTC's reputation by emailing various local organizations showing you support nazi behavior.  Yes I was angry, venting, but that doesn't change one basic fact:

I was wrong to say that.

Regardless of my or your opinion on the callsign issue, I SHOULD NOT have said that.  That was beyond any reasonable standard of conduct.  I crossed the line, bigtime.  HTC is a good enough company that you do not deserve to be treated like that.

I feel badly enough about saying that, that I am posting this here for all to see (most people here probably wouldn't have otherwise seen it).   I have strong feelings for right and wrong, and I believe that when a person screws up, he should fess up to it--not hide from it.   I don't like to think of myself as a jerk, but I can see now that I went way beyond being a jerk with that comment.

HTC, I am sorry.

JAB, you big dummie. I can't believe you did all that. You are no longer my friend. BW doesn't mix well with my personality. Gonna try to stay away from there myself. :)
Well, now I forgive you. But only if you let me have the J_A_B handle when we get underscores. ;)

I think you were only doing it for the attention those incredibly lame threads started. It was a stupid thing to write, those were stupid things to pollute the board with, and you're stupid to continue to post about it in one way or another.

I find it impossible you people take this game and anything else so serious. Your life must be constant torment.

Superfly, Bigweek is a strange story.

Many years ago (about 5 I think) back when you guys were still at WB's, AirWarrior tried out an experiment for huge arena sizes.  We tried to cram as many people as we could onto these experimental servers and see if we could make them work. I say "we" cause I was one of the people helping with the psuedo scenarios and organizing things.  I think they got as many as 1000 in the same arena, but with huge problems of warping and eventually crashing the server.  It was all based around the historical "Bigweek" scenario.

But at that time, a special newsgroup (outside of the "official" AW newsgroups/BBS's)  was setup to facilitate all this, and it was called the "Bigweek" newsgroup.

This became the hangout of all the oldtimers and other malcontents ;)  Eventually Kesmai pulled the plug on the experiment, and eventually after that on the newsgroup server.

By that time it was such a subcommunity, that one of the players hosted a newsgroup server , and they all moved over there.  Over the years its moved around some, but the group has held together and continues its tradition as a "underground"  place to vent on the flight sim, which is now AH after Airwarrior died.

I use to spend a lot of time there, but I kind lost track of it  a year or so ago, and I don't even know where to find it now.

Not many people would have apologized. I applaud you for that. Next time you get mad, go kill an enema. It is great therapy for me. :D

That didn't take long horn. :D Not a question of being a wuss. I just can't get nothing done here at work reading and posting over there. I'm cutting back on my board reading, etc..
