Yeah.... well in AW, I was in the Hell Gods in RR and the Kraits in FR and it was no problem flitting between them.  Once we came here I had to drop out of the HGs originally as my primary squad is, and always has been, the Kraits.... but I found myself missing flying with the HGs more and more, and recently created a second account so that I could rejoin them.  Wax had changed the name to the Hell's Angels for some unknown reason, and it was only a few days ago he decided to change the name back to the Hell Gods.  :D  Actually, I am also in Sealed Fate, but only in WW2OL, as WoLfX gave me a lot of help when I first started playing there.

You will no doubt find the FR of Aces High a lot different to the RR of AW, but stick at it and you will soon learn to adapt - resist the temptation to yank on the stick, and you will be fine....  :)  Main thing is, don't give up - if you do get fed up with trying to fly, have a break by taking a vehicle or PT Boat out, or manning a field or ship gun - they are always a lot of fun!

In the meantime, have a look at the NetAces site for lots of very useful advice and information on all aspects of playing Aces High.  Hope to see you in the MA soon!  ;)

I just started reading General Discussions because I've just started flying MA recently but there's more trolls here than on BW even. Last night the text buffer was moving so fast my lips got tired trying to read it all. I don't see how you do it:) Oh, and who is this Shane character everyone keeps talking about? He was my very first MA kill and he gave me a polite after the fight.

Lorri, Hornet is right. Us AW pilots will never be as good as the AH pilots. I suggest you do what the rest of us AWers do- if we can't be the best then strive to be the most obnoxious.

There's a crap load of us in here now .., as you can see we're bringing down the neighborhood

I have to honestly ask you two a question.   If Fighter Ace had folded and AW had gotten a huge influx of thier players would you AWiers have appreciated, let alone liked, attitudes such as this from them?

I find it something lame to be proud of.  If you're trolling I'm hooked. But it's not just you two ex-Awiers as I've seen many similar remarks from many different ex-Awier players. As if there was some sort of oath taken by a some that "if we (ex-AWiers) can't enjoy our game, we'll not let "them" enjoy thiers."

 Oed

Oed, it was an attempt at satire. How is my last post preventing YOU from enjoying YOUR game??? Hey, I pay my 9.95 a month just like you do. It is now OUR game. BTW, I rarely say anything on Channel One. I a buddy if I see one, but that's about it.  I'm trying too hard to learn AH to type too much.

I apologize if my mere presence in the MA upsets you so terribly, but I refuse to apologize over my last post. If you're that upset over remarks I intended in jest then squelch me and you won't have to read my weak attempts at humor. You are WAY too sensitive.

Aub, see what I mean about the trolls? They're everywhere.

I'd be interested in seeing Special Oed and AirMouth get into a troll-a-thon. Any takers?

I don't know you guys (except for flossy) and I'm kinda boggled at how my thread got so derailed, am I going to be looked down on in here by veteran AH players because I used to fly AW a couple of years ago?  If there is such hostilities between AH vets and AW vets, then maybe this isnt the place for me, I have no desire to be on the recieveing end of pokes and jabs about my days in AW, where I had alot of fun, and met some very nice people.  I am simply here looking to rekindle some old friendships, and possibly make some new, while playing a game I think I may enjoy.

At least I have 8 more days to decide before I have to fork out the card # :p

Sorry Lorri, I'm just in a thread hijacking place today... but in answer to your question; It is my opinion that the AH community will be quick to reflect back whatever you project out. For example, if you log onto the main arena and say "THIS GAME SUX! I HAVE  MAD AW SKILLZ!!!!" People are going to tell you to get lost.  Some people will even get torqued if you even say "I liked the ______ better in AW" or even if you say "I remember this one time in AW" but there really aren't that many folks like that around.

Personally, I'm an Ex-AWer myself. I remember the days of GEnie and $12/hour ($6 for GEnie, $6 in long distance chargers lol) But I really don't miss AW. What I liked about AW were my friends, and since the once I care about are in AH now, this game is everything that AW was. So nobody has ever ragged on me for being an Ex-AWer, and I've never made an issue out of it either.

I hear you both, and I assure you, I'm not one of those types of people, so then I should get along just fine.  Just seeing my thread get so derailed with what is appaently a age old feud was a bit disheartening, hehe

Thanks :)

Worked up?? I'M NOT WORKED UP! I ALWAYS act all twitchy and jump around like a squirrel!! I AM NOT ANGRY!! AAAGGGHHH!!! It's just combat fatigue shared by the former pilots of Air Warrior- we all act like this.

Seriously, Oed, when the Titanic of flight sims went down I thought all my old shipmates were scattered to the four corners of the Internet. If I was too gleeful then I apologize. It's just that seeing someone a year later after all the old dogfights we'd had together...and you had thought they were gone forever..you don't know what it's like man... I hope you never have to go through the pain me, Arlo, Aub, Shane and every AW refugee suffered through man...it was awful...I have to stop now cause I'm choking up... I wish the AH guys would try to understand our pain...

BTW, Elfenwolf perished in a tragic hot tubbing accident. In spite of weighing over 450 pounds he was a sensitive guy, and to drown the sorrows of being trolled so often he got drunk and passed out in his hot tub.

It was a week before the neighbors noticed the constant smell of stew cooking, and by the time he was discovered the hot tub looked more like a crock pot full of Chunky Chicken Soup than anything resembling a human. I'm glad he's gone cause I hate trolls. Good riddance to him.
