Yankee = not a native of a former Confederate state.  :)


Call it my shoddy upbringing... In grade school, we spent more time learning about the missions than we did the civil war. It's not part of our heritage. :)

We jump right from Father Serra to the Spanish American War in our history books. (Only a slight exaggeration)
