Hehe - Halloween's a xian festival started to replace an old celtic festival - Samhain which was probably new year. Same procedure for the other major celtic festivals - Imbolc=Candlemas, Beltane=Easter, Lughnasadh=Lammas/harvest festival and Yule=Xmas. However, sadly Satan appears to be basically just too Jewish (and Xian) to get a look in at any of these - the celts most likely never heard of him til the Xians turned up.
So in some respects, you'd probably have quite a defensible case claiming that modern Xianity is nothing but Paganism Lite.

Heck - If you think that's a scary thought why not check out the names of the days of the week:
Modern english=Saxon English - translation Monday=Monandaeg - Moon day
Tuesday=Tiwesdaeg - Tiw's (god of war) day
Wednesday=Wodnesdaeg - Woden's day
Thursday=Thunresdaeg - Thor's day
Friday=Frigedaeg - Frige's day
Saturday=Sæterdaeg - Saturn's day
Sunday=Sunandaeg - Sun day
Ooo scary! - Saxon versions of the Roman calendar gods - which pagan god's day are we celebrating today? Uh-oh! Looks like everyday is Satan's day!
You zealous guys better get started burning your calendars & diaries - don't forget not to let you kids utter those blasphemous heathen names like "Tuesday" too. Well, maybe Sunday & Monday are clean...
