Why 011 ?

Whenever I was outside Germany and calling home I used 00-49-and so on.

Didnīt thought that you have a special code if calling from USA...

Its not just the US...it is the international code from this hemisphere, I think...well certainly here in Bermuda and probably the Caribbean too.

The correct number was 011-49-8821-6298. Called last night at midnight and got in touch with a guy who could speak some english. Figured out what I needed to do. Got the wiring kit for my rudder pedals coming. Finally. :)
