Lots of new players coming in to AH of late, must be the TV ad's but the hard part is going to be keeping them! HTC may need to look at a more formal training arena. I know we all try and help out the new guys but there are so many of late and most seem to have a reading problem I.E. they don't read the instructions at all! But HTC needs them to stay and the way to do that may be to have a once a week training school with someone from HTC or AH old hands going over some basics.

Just some thoughts

Kbee:rolleyes:

why on earth would you want to educate your targets before shooting at them?  let them learn at end of a cannon stream like I did :p  just a thought:)
You dragged the dead horse into the yard and handed out the bats, sir.

Hmm.  Maybe HTC could implement a training program.  They could ask the  vets to sign up as trainers.  Then when newbees log in, they could select a trainer from the list.  This might even be more appealing to the vets if they were offered an incentive of some sort...

...oh, oh, then HTC can COMPLETELY ignore the requests of the traners to have some authority in the training arena for mob control and dweeb supression, and the traners can get frustrated with their inability to maintain order during their traning sessions and all quit, leaving us with a kindergarden playground called the TA that's mostly empty and the newbies can jump into the deep end of the pool (the MA), get frustrated, and leave.

I like it.

Ahhh Puck,,.....haven't been around the TA lately have you.

I actually have fun in the TA with the new folks.  They are actually learning SA and ACM now.  And ther are those that do have some mob control in there now.

It's not perfect, but it is much better than it was a couple of weeks ago.

Come on over some time and give me a hand.  Could use some good ACM experts in there from time to time.

Trainers belong in the TA. I'm talking someone specifically there to answer questions...training is a whole different kettle of fish. But, as much sense as that makes..prolly wont happen.
