Ok, resurrected an old amd k6-2/400 to give to the kids so they've got something to play with. Specially the 6yr old and all her arthur/blues clues/jump start stuffs so they aren't clutting up mine or the wife's machines.
98se installed no problem.
Go to put it on the network and start downloading all the updates and big problem. The flippin box won't talk to the DHCP server in the router and pick up an ip so it can hit the net! Openin winipcfg it's on the wrong subnet mask and looking for the DHCP server at 255.255.255.255
Another interesting note is that it's listed with different names in the device mangler and the winipcfg box.
Any ideas?
