The Program
9:00-9:45 p.m.
Bomber Pilot
Jim Keeffe, a B-24 Bomber Aviator in the 389th Bomb Group, tells his story of being shot down in 1944 after a bombing mission over Berlin, evading the Germans in Holland for 5 months, attempting to escape to England, betrayed to German Counterintelligence agents, and interned as a POW in Stalag Luft III. Then the prisoners were evacuated as the Russians advanced and he ended up in Moosburg, Bavaria.
10:00-10:45 a.m.
Battle of the Bulge
Bob Probach, an Infantryman, will tell his story about landing at Normandy a few days after the invasion, his fighting through France, and his experiences in the Battle of the Bulge.
11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Liberation of Germany/Liberation of A Nazi Death Camp
Leo Hymas, an infantryman in the 97th Infantry Division, will tell of his experiences liberating Germany and the liberation of a Nazi Death Camp
Hamar Benson, a chaplain, will tell of his experiences being transferred through France and Germany, and visiting a Nazi Death Camp.

The Attack on Pearl Harbor
Al Weddle, a new sailor in the U.S. Navy, will tell about surviving the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He will start with a brief videotape of a documentary showing some of the key elements and people in the attack.
2:00-2:45 p.m.
Okinawa Landings
Frank Adams, a U.S. marine serving in the 1st and 6th Marine Divisions, will tell about his experiences in the pacific campaign, and the Okinawa landing.
3:00-3:45 p.m.
Bomber Navigator-Shot Down over Austria/Escape and Evasion/POW/Escape
Hal Cook, a B-24 Bomber Navigator in the 450th Bomb Group, 15th USAAF, tells his story of being shot down over Austria, evading capture, being captured and interned in POW Camp Stalag Luft III, and his escape across the Swiss border when they were being marched further into Germany as the Russians advanced from the east. Hal was the military consultant for the recent hit movie "Hart’s War" and will talk about this experience too.
