« on: October 19, 2002, 05:17:16 PM »
• Through a facination with flight and history buys a boxed sim and loves it.
• Learns how to fly, how to beat AL and buys another..
• After multiple boxed sims discovers online sims..
• Goes online and discovers flying vs. real people...he SUCKS
• At this point he either:
• Quits and goes back to the box
• Learns how to fight real people
• Joins a squad
• Time passes ( may vary )
• Becomes bored...
• Clammers for more realism, flys less
• Flys still less, starts telling others how to fly ( for the "greater good" )
• Flys rarely now, gets into FM's, ballistics, graphic anomolies and things "wrong" with....( for the "greater good" )
• Convinces himself that everyone else is an idiot, a "quaker" that don't have a clue..
• Time passes
• Nobody listens..quits flying all together
• Drops in occasionally to share wisdom
OR...
• Finds out after a long time what he really enjoys
• Flys as much as he always has
• Takes it for what its worth
• Has a blast doing it
Subject A is a legend in his own negativity. ( not from this board ) Subject B is alot of us.

Watching over the years the "realists" tend to burn out much quicker than the "fun" guys..

Quite a few greybeard "fun" guys around.. along with a handful of oldtime "realists"..

Nah, my case is all different.

1) Drank beer in kinder garden
2) Switched to vodka in school

... not much to remember here, ohhhh, my head ...

3) Found AH.
4) Decided that 2 addictions is too much for a single person.
5) Canceled AH account.

:)
