I've just started using the film viewer to record sorties again. I don't know why, but I really haven't used it since it was first introduced.
My question is this: when replaying a film, is there any view or way to have a chase view that doesn't take into account the views used from the first person view during the sortie itself? The way I'm using it now, zooms in and out, and looks right/left, etc. that I made when in the cockpit are getting repeated in the playback from external views. What I'd really like is a view that is fixed in position, but can be manipulated for angle, zoom manually and stays that way until I manipulate it again.
Is there a way to do this? I may have unmapped it from the keymapping if there is.

Secondary question: looking at the help file for the AH film viewer, it shows controls that I don't have on my UI. It also mentions stuff like being able to get views from other planes in the area -- I don't see the capability for any of that stuff in my version. Is the AH film viewer help file out of date and things have reverted to an older version, or do I have to make changes to my settings, or is there a separate download I need to get?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers,
