New Maps
« on: October 19, 2002, 07:02:49 AM »
The main needs some new maps. The current maps are getting, well, boring. And with the lack of participation in the CT, it would be nice to rotate one CT map in the main, a different one every week or month maybe. I realize a new version is out soon and maybe that is holding up new maps. But at least throw a CT map in the rotation.

Also, I hear all these whines about La-7's and spits and niks in the main. But not once have I seen these whiners fly in the CT where there is a limited plane set. Cry and whine about the main and still fly in it:confused:

And they whine to the point of "I'm considering canceling my sub"   Gimme a break.

I visit CT once in a while but when i normally fly (CET germany)
there is no 1 in.

And flying with 6 to 8 people is more boring then to face these hordes of La7n1kspit dweebs in the MA.

I am pretty sad to say that but i should aybe start to scroll my skills down get me a jerk bag and jump in a La7.

I shuld not forget my google to identify the sight way in the front.

and btw. i dont want to force people to fly what i like.
The Ma has a bigger problem. I am really hoping for the scenario theater.

Serious letting early war and later war and really late war (La7) planes fly against each other needs a rethinking IMO.

Yea another big whine (Rude u hear me) lol

CT maps in the rotation would at least get rid of the ponies and la7's for a map turn, spread the word.

BTW, just get a JUG and kick their arse freeze;)

CT maps aren't balanced for MA play.  CT maps aren't large enough for MA play.  And if you are getting bored of the maps, then you need to find a new way to play.  Do something different some night....something you dont normally do.  Try a different plane or try to fly to live or just run around and HO everything in sight.  You would be surprised what a new perspective can do for your AH experience.

New maps would certainly create a new bb whine fest wouldn't they!!!
HT gave us the map editor, all you subscribers complaining about wanting new maps should learn the map editor and create us some new maps..

I played around with the editor briefly and it appeared to be time consuming, enough to warrant needing a full time map editor who also beta tests the maps obviously... Prolly not something that is going to happen anytime soon I would assume...
IT would be more realistic to release a Map editor and have the community create the maps and donate the development time then hiring a person just to create new maps... Imagine someone with Mitsu's talent creating maps for us, just for fun!!

I have the editor, and made a practice map for Midway(email me and ill send it to you).

And there are plenty of CT maps that can handle the main, just a faster reset. Sorry, but I think the same maps over and over gets kinda old.And I have been working on maps, but I stopped to wait for the new version(making maps now is a waste). Right now working on skinning terrain and making a forest the vehicles can take cover in(go to editor discussions, lots there on this subject)

ct maps are too small,

most are 2 sided maps

some arent set to main specs in regards to strat

most have a few bugs

ever been in the ct?

Whenever people get bored with ah they blame the map. If you fly a jug what are you doing otd with the la7s?

otd with la7's?, lol, not me. I did refer to people whining about spits and la7's, but it doesn't bother me. But if you are saying we should have the same maps in rotation for eternity, I think your nuts.

I mean, you can always find something to do, but we do need more maps. And yes I do work with the TE(check posts in TE section of BB), so I am trying to create maps. But like I said b4, it's gonna have to wait for the new version. My maps won't compare with some others though, quite a few other people are working on it too, and they are good with the TE. They are created skins for airplanes AND terrain. So when a map changes you might have different skins on the aircraft and totally different terrain. I'm looking forward to it.

the map changes every reset, what other game have you played that does that?

There 5(?) maps in rotation. The only that effects gameplay is thr ak desert map. The rest is all the same.

Like I said the first thing they blame is the map. Take a break you wont care what map it is when you come back.
