The Outstanding Dog of the Year and Outstanding Wingdog of the Year are awared at years end to members of the 332nd Flying Mongrels. Ghosth, Ozark, Gospel, and Harppa have all been awarded these in years past.
The first award Outstanding Wing Dog of the Year (OWY) is Awarded by members at the end of each year to those that returned for their wingman, time after time regardless of damage, ammo, and situation. The man who earns this award is not concerned with his score but more for his fellow squadies. He is not only willing to give up a bone, but willing to share all he has time and time again.
The votes for OWY 2001 were exceptionally close. In fact there was a 4 way tie for 2nd place!
Puke, deSelys, Starbird, and Ghosth all received the same number of votes for this award.

The dog with the most votes is
Nifty! Congratulations Nifty on earning the OWY
The second and most prestigious award is the Outstanding Dog of the Year (ODY) and is awarded for loyalty, sharp teeth, service to the squadron in combat and non combat rolls over an extended period of time. The votes for this award were not close. It would be fair to say that the winner swept the field receiving twice as many as the next runner up. It would also be fair to say the winner of this award sums up what the 332nd Mongrels are all about. Out to have fun and make friends.
TeeeRex is the 2001 recipient of the ODY! Congratulations TeeeRex!
