Major video problems
« on: October 27, 2002, 12:34:21 AM »
Amd xp 2100
geforce 4 ti 4600
30.82 drivers
win 2000

I have been using this setup minus win 2k to play Aces
with no problem but when I upgraded to win 2000 the sky, ground, planes are all just a bunch of sharp, solid colored (white and green and others) polygons jetting around. Any ideas?
Thanks
Gun

1) Make sure your video settings in the game match the Windows desktop settings.

2) If are overclocking, reset back to standard speeds.

3) Try enabling vsync in the D3D settings for the video card.

4) Did you install the GART drivers that came with the motherboard?

5) If the motherboard is VIA based, make sure you have the latest 4in1's.

From the description, it sounds like a texture buffer is getting stomped in the video card, or the video card is getting bad data.

Hi

My mother is an asus a7v333 and is via based I installed the one of the 4 in one drivers the one for the A.G.P the others are for like power management and usb which I found tends to make my system less stable. As far as I know I Didn’t install any gart drivers, what are those?
I haven’t installed any service packs i guess ill look into that.
Ill try the desktop settings = games settings suggestion right now.
Thanks for your help.
