Mr. Yeager is one of my all-time most respected people.  His acomplishments in aviation history simply speak for themselves.

But what really impresses me about Chuck is the total distain he has for anyone that thinks being good at a game means they'd be good pilots in real life.

not to take anything away from General Yeager, but it seems to be a little known fact that he was not actually the 1st to go supersonic. George Welch in the XP-86 beat him to it by a few days.

so Yeager wasn't the 1st to beat the sound barrier, but he was the 1st the beat the $hi+ out of it

How many times has he "broken the sound barrier for the last time".  I swear this is at least the third.

Yeager breaks the sound barrier in his coffin maybe?

He could be like Jaws, or police acadamy.  Have multiply sequels!
