Terrain Editor Crash

I cant get my Terrain Editor to Work I got Windows XP and Cobra427 has the same thing and he is able to run it and even create maps, i just found out how to make skins and want to but I cant!


Please help!

You didn't tell us what happens ;)
How far do you get?

Does your computer crash once you start the editor
( meaning double clicking the terrain editor icon
or
going to start/program/aceshigh/aceshigh terrain editor )

Do you get an error box that pops up

etc...etc...

error box does come up, Cobra gave me a map to test from his comp it ran without any, crashes except when I added a piece of my stuff, saving shape groups, and some stuff

error box does come up, Cobra gave me a map to test from his comp it ran without any, crashes except when I added a piece of my stuff, saving shape groups, and some stuff.

I also thing I added was named wrong thats prob why

I know that .bmp files that are 24 bit and not set as 256 color will crash the editor.

If you try to place the 88MANX shape the TE will crash.

If you try to get textures of the following shapes

88MANX

DRUNKS

HANGGNR
HNGBMB4
HNGFTR4
HNGGNR0
HNGGNR4

the TE will crash.
