F4U-4 Climb Rate

Well...

Looking at the F4U-4 climb chart:

There seems to quite abit of a difference in climb rate, particulary at WEP.  Are the naval historical records wrong?  Or does AH choose to ignore them in favor of a 'detuned' F4U-4 for playability?  I am sure this has been brought up before, but is there some other data supporting the AH F4U-4 performance?
