Beaufighter- too slow as a night fighter, but a great strike aircraft.
Sunderland- a big huge flying boat.
Whirlwind- although a nice little fighter, but with only just over 100 built i can't see why it should be modelled.
Battle- light bomber
Barracuda- torpedo/dive bomber
Defiant- not a fighter in the traditional sense. Was so poor in combat it was quickly removed from daytime operations- can't see why this deathtrap would be modelled.
Meteor- A mkIII would be nice to have, although some people argue that shooting down V-1s and groud attack sorties as not seeing combat.
Firefly- strike/recce aircraft. Although this plane is so cool it would have to be added anyway! mmmmm.....16 x 60lb rockets and 4 hispanos.......
So out of all the planes we have 3 fighters. All of which for various reason made little impact on the war. Sorry Cajun, but i would put the gladiator in this category too. It would make much more sense to add varients of the spitfire.
