Seen both it and the original Japanese production.......damn good film.

Heard good things about it, also heard Hollywood is making a remake that will suck.
Will try to pick it up.

I thought this thread was about The One Ring.... my precioussss... i wants it....

Well the japanese one is pretty good, but I think the US remake is actually better.  


Odd use of camera angles mid way through though.....

Saw Silence of the Lambs, thot it rocked.

Saw the second one, whatever it was called.
What  waste of money..and anthoney hopkins is one of my favorite actors.

now I'm super leery, if I hear how great Red Dragon is, I'll check it out when it gets to blockbuster, otherwise I'm blowing that set off now.

 So far I haven't heard much about Red Dragon and it's been out a while.

Try Manhunter. It's the original movie made from the book, Red Dragon.

Stars William Peterson and Bryan Cox plays Lecter. Directed by Michael Mann (Heat, Miami Vice).

It came out before SOTL. It's rather faithful to the book, but Hopkins does Lecter better than Cox. FWIW, I thought the book, Red Dragon sucked. Not as much as Hannibal, but right up there.
