1) Is there any information about how far each gun in the game shoots (i.e acks, tanks, CV, etc.)
Go to
http://www.netaces.org and you'll see that someone did a target showing the effect range and dispersement of bullets for particular aircraft weapons. There may be some info on the trajectories of the heavy guns there, too.

2) Why do I never get any perk points for dropping airfield cargo from a gv and only sometimes with a goon. When I do get points for dropping af cargo from a goon it always appears to be a random number between ~12.0 and 0.0. How far from a field do you have to drop for it to be a "success"? Is there a way to tell whether or not your drop was a success? If those untouchable train and truck convoys are hauling around supplys then why am I doing it in a goon? In fact the whole resupply system is a complete mystery to me.
Same here. I believe you have to drop from a minimum altitude of 800 feet, and from as close from directly above as you can get.

3) Is it possible to destroy a FH or BH with a GV? I've shot all 85 rounds from a panzer into a FH with no apparent effect.
Yes, but you have to use the HE rounds rather than AP. Armour Piercing (AP) seems to have no effect on buildings, but will work well against other ground vehicles. High Explosive has little effect against heavy armoured gvs, but will work on hangars and depots, and lighter gvs

4) If I destroy 3 of 4 FH's on an airfield does that have any effect on the operations from that field or do I have to destroy all 4?
You have to take them all out. There is no Ground Controller to trifle with in Aces High

5) Is there a way to setup a single-player scenario offline to practice field captures? In my offline play artillery seem to have no effect on ground targets and drunks just hit the ground and stand there.
If you select offline and bring up the clipboard, you'll see a button for airfield properties. You'll have to play around with it a bit, but it will allow you to turn off the flak, pre-damage a structure, and what-not for a particular airfield. Once you die, though, it resets to the default.

6) Has anyone ever been able to figure out how to level bomb from the game documentation alone?
Yes, there was a very good tutorial by Kweassa and a few others. Look back a month and it should come up.

7) Has anyone ever been able to figure out how to capture an airfield (i.e argueably the main point of the game) from the game documentation alone?
No, that's why I joined a squad - so those guys could tell me what I needed to do to become the big-time elite pilot that I am today.

8) Can you really land gv's from a TG by water and if so could someone point me to the documentation on this?
The only way I know to land a gv is to park it on the runway of an airport.

9) Why doesn't the DC Wings commercial tell you if you start playing AH now you will be attempting to ramp up the experience ladder in an area that people have been mastering for over three years?
Because version 1.10 has only been around a month. Trust me, after a month, or two, or four, you'll be just as elite as I am. Start with the Spitfire then try the LA-7. Once you've got the hang of the aircraft commands, leave these training wheels behind and fly the Corsair, the 109, the Spit V, the F6F, the P-38, and some of the other "middle of the road" planes to learn the ins-n-outs of air combat. If you can score kills in a mid-war plane, you can do ok in any of them.
There's many more but that's it for now.
