YAK's Being Made Tougher these days?
« on: October 30, 2002, 01:10:41 AM »
Did anyone else notice that the Yak's seemed kinda hard to knock down tonight? (Tuesday).

I put long bursts into several Yaks at on the average of D200 or less with 6x.50's from my P-51. Lit them up like a Christmas tree but they just kept going like I never touched them. Nothing even fell off!

I light plane like the Yak should have been shreaded by a burst of fire from a Mustang that close.

Might be packet loss on my part - was just curious if any one else noticed.

HT has repeatedly said that NOTHING is changed that is not mentioned in the notes that come with new versions. I can't see them doing all the research and work to change the 'toughness' of a plane and then not telling us...

Sorry if i'm being rude, but this board just seems to fill up with subjective observations...

Don't have a cow Crow! Was just asking a question. GEEZE!

I never suggest they were toying with the toughness of the aircraft - just thought it might be an arena bug or some problem with my system. Just was seeing if any one else had the problem.

I use the buttery flavored stuff on mine.  That way I can rub the wings down with popcorn to make the salt stick to the popcorn.  I like to have a little snack while flying.

I'm guessing packet loss.  I've had no trouble losing important Yak parts this week.

I noticed that too, I was chasing one in a spit and really put some lead on the tail.  It took 3 snap shots to get rid of those pesky elevators.  I think they are just strong planes that we rarely encounter.  Were just not use to it.

I think the cannons have had good luck rippn em apart though.

I can second that... Mine seems to fall apart on it's own.
