My good RL friend commanded a unit of army rangers in that incident. There were over 60 Rangers, a delta force unit and a unit of SEAL's.
It was considered a loss and they pulled out of the city ASAP, dont believe everything you here on TV.
They were fighting over 5000 rebels and they indeed did extingquish a great ammount of them, but the army rangers suffered a great loss because they were not there to advance/move like the specail forces units were. The rangers were there to secure a area and hold the perimiter so the SPEC OPs could fall back, which they could not do easily vrs the over-whelming rebel forces.
Sgt.High was his name, he was shot buy a 12 year old boy in somolia with a AK47.
