i dont know to much about this but wich sit would cause more lag


20 people in vis range all flying the same plane

or

20 people in vis range each flying a different plane

or will the lag that either sit causes be the same?

In terms of network lag there would most likely be no difference as i'm sure the models are only transferred once (in the .res file?)then subsequently referred to by a bitfield or mapping of some kind.

In terms of video lag I think it would depend on the plane.  Planes with more vertices would take longer to draw.

ok...i was thinking that 20 diff planes would cause more lag because the server and my comp. would have to handle all 20 sprite forms and what there doing not just one sprite form with 20 duplicates (im living in the past when you could only have 8 diff. types of sprites goign at once...)
