looks good but you might wanna lighten up the blue so it looks like it was sitt'n in the sun to long and make it look like some of the star decal peeled off ... on some planes they used decals a bit like on model planes

awesome start!
I'd suggest weathering the silver/white parts also.

oh.. and the area on top just behind the prop.
with that 'old' of an AC you know there has to be tons of oil/fuel/smoke stains in addition to the rust ;)

I would like to see more defined panels lines on the wings. If it's rusty, they should really stand out and have some rust traces.
The tail section need a lot of work too I think, looks "plain".

The concept is great, keep it on! I'm looking foward for the next version.
