i think that maybe we should get an options when rearming. like when you land on the pad, instead of just gettin what you took off with you should get an option screen that lets you choose what you want to take back up. maybe you dont want to take up the same load out that you took up when you took off. and i also think that the field condition should affect the rearming pad as well. if a field has no fuel you should not be able to re fuel at that base, or if its at 50% you should only be able to take up 50% fuel etc.

just a thought

Surely good...the whole fuel issue is a bit weird though. If fuel is low, the number of planes launced should be limited, not the persentage of fuel load.

I don't agree. Why? The rearm as it is now more than good enough. It's simple, it's easy  to use but it does make you think before you take off. Or one would think anyway. If you want a different fuel or ordinance then re-think your choices before you launch to take-off. And if you find you want a different armament load or gun package than what you're equipped with then dismount and let the "virtual" crews do thier work.

Imo asking HTC to make the rearm feature even simpler and more powerful folks might as well ask HiTech to add in flight "power ups" so people can refuel, rearm and get bigger "BFG-2000" guns on the fly.

I agree partially +)

If the fuel or ammo is porked at a field, the reload pad should also reflect this.  The aircraft should only get 50% or its original loadout, whichever is the least!!  Also if the plane has a bomb loadout and the ord is down at the field, ordnance should not be loaded.
Otherwise its fine, I do not think the option to change loadouts should be applied to the pads.

I don't think it is a good idea for this reason. Follow this reasoning:

  • a pilot could come up at a field that was down to 25% fuel
  • the pilot takes 25% and goes to the runway.
  • the pilot taxi's to the rearm pad and ask for a full load.
  • There could be an abuse here.

I think Westy has brought up some good points as well. Your idea isn't a terrible one but I don't think it would be an improvement over what we have now.
