hehe. *I'm* not the one complaining that this setup is furball central - most setups when less than 10-20 people on *are* exactly that.

just saying the arena is what *you* (we) make it - right?

i'm just commenting on a noted lack of creativity or willingness to think outside the box and can only when i see people saying they're trying to be "realistic" in terms of gameplay, i.e., running like a leetle beech when an overwhelming advantage is not present..

a "loose" hordette is *not* "tactics" in the sense of "realism."

for all the talk of how CT is "different" - i honestly view it as nothing more than a mini-MA with a limited planeset (albeit with sometimes cool skins and terrains).  and ya'll wonder why?

hmmmmmmm?

I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

an advantage of base capture is it brings the fight closer to you and away from coastal/bg flak

I'm for it - abused or not

i kind of agree in the sense it's ok as long as abuses can be "fixed" when they occur - sad the "abuses" have to even occur to begin with, tho'

and fwiw, imho, in any "BoB" map setup the fleets should be locked out of the way, with perhaps when CV planes are enabled, locked in close enough (1 -1.5 sectors out of the main channel) and the TG's hardened to the point of unsinkability to allow the CV planes to come into play.

using TG's as mobile AA battteries off the coasts is simply.... silly, gamey and annoying.

I dont think people have the time to be realistic on average most people fly about 1-2 hrs when they log on. Iam fortunate I can log and play 4-5 hrs a night if I want so I can afford to be reailistic . example last night I upped ju88's from a5 to hit v70 radar station 100% fuel and 24bombs full load .I set out my path and wanted to reach 30k over target but a ju88 cant get that high so I setteled for 20k .                                                                                                       I approached target as usual two spits were waiting for me. I thought sure would be nice to have some escourt , but whose gonna fly with me for an hour to reach target most likely noone. If I would have been able to return to the nearest base the entire flight time would have been 1 1/2 hours most people just dont have that much time.

But your right the CT is just a smaller MA ,our squad has pretty much decided to just play in the MA, less there be a PTO setup in the CT.And the other night when just 5 ppl on I was getting vulched to death that was pretty much the lamest thing I ever saw, are ppl really that concerned about there score?

Keya,

Always check roster for 880 FAA.  If any of us are on, we will provide escort.  Even in 110s :)

Spontaneous inititive ? You're talking about the crowd who had to be tricked into flying the CT . Change the name of CT to something else and put it in the SEA once a week and.. viola ! substantial atendance .
