Actually, I believe that this is the Columbia Aircraft Company built J2F-6. Columbia manufactured the Duck under license in Valley Stream, Long Island, just 15 minutes from Grumman's plant.

Actually this one the J2F-6 number 78 comes from the production unit 34F and rolled of the production line at 12:34 teusday march 1937.

They finnish this one just before lunch break actually.
So they could all go together to Mc Donald's wich was just 7 minutes and 35 seconds driving from the grumman factory, so they could made that trip in just 3 minutes and 45 seconds.

After they made number 80 the company was almost sold to Kurt tank, but they didn't like bratwurst

just some facts

:p

What do you mean "no McDonalds in 1937"? There have been McDonalds around for hundreds of years.:D

Joking aside,

"In the anglecized gaelic of our ancestors, our name was (and is) MacDhomhnaill _ "son of Donald". Common English variations of the name are: Macdonald, MacDonald, Macdonnell, McDonnell , McDonald. One can also find, particulary in the United States, McDaniel, McDanel, McDonel, etc.

In the course of my genealogical research, I've found over thirty variations of the name - some are obviously mistakes made by writers unfamiliar with the name, others spellings were probably considered perfectly acceptable by tthe people who used them. Other variations include: McDonnald, M'Donnald, MDonel, McDonell, McDonnel, McDanel(s), McDonold, McDaneld, etc."
