Still no new bombers yet. When 1.03 comes out we will have 20 fighters, 3 vehicles, and STILL only 2 bombers. I know the Landcaster and the JU88 are coming out, but not for a few weeks yet. (knowing HTC it'll be about 6 months hehehehe   j/k) It's just kinda boring to log on knowing that you only have 2 planes to choose from. And yes I know, why don't I try flying fighters? Well I am. Alot of you have shot me down, but I'm trying. Still some of us like Hangtime and Torque excel at flying fighters. I however can fly bombers very well, and alot of you know that I'm willing to hit almost any target. I mean I still hold the record for time taken to kill acks at a large field. (3 mins 17 secs). (small field only takes me about 1 min to kill) Ok I'm starting to ramble, where was I? Oh yeah I'm bored and need a new bombers to kill with.   Gotta run, the guys in white coats are coming.

Beef,
judging from what I've red the Ju88 will be dead meat in a 1943-45 arena.
And no, I'm not happy with it. I'd rather like a 1940-42 arena but ... well, I can live with it.
IMHO only fast and *very* well armed buffs can survive flying AH arenas. Only late and rare variants, like the Arado and other Junkers. I heard PYRO talking about B-29 and *very* late Lancaster variant with .50 instead of .303 and powerful engines.

Think about strategy and you can bomb what you want whit any bombers (Wellington,He111,B-29, ecc..)

Maybe a Ju88C with the twin 37mm cannon pack?

But then there goes the ability to buff

Visconti,
sadly I do not agree. Ever heard anything about historical accuracy? Luftwaffe lost his elan during late 1942-beginning 1943. There is no room here for a standard german buff (maybe an Arado, or a fighter bomber Me262) with all these late war monsters. If you like "what if" sims you are in the right place, tho. Strategy? Hehe, bring on Wellingtons for some sneak attacks. This is not what I call a balanced arena but hey, again, I can live with it

What we need are Mossies,, fer them lightning fast low level, surprise da sh*t outta a field type raids....

but of course,, the field aaa needs to be HC, (Human controlled), not the super accurate aaa currently employed....(yes I know it's less accurate than before...)

The Ju-88 will be good to have once ships get into AH, since it could carry 2 torpedoes.
A Lanc with one of those bombes they used to sink Tirpitzwith, would be a nice addition too....

Wasn't there a late war variant of the Ju88, the "S" model I think, that was much more capable than the earlier models? ie, much faster?

I don't think very many of them were actually made, but then again, by that point in the war the Germans were thinking defense.

JU88 has wep, JU88 is a high quality dive bomber, yeah it's defensive gun fit bites, but then again, that would only be a problem if you can get in range, all in all, considering the style(if any) of present arena, JU88 would be more survivable than B26,after all it's fast, can dive like a rock, and with the buff range advantage, even puny defensive fire gains a whole new level of deadly. Don't be so quick to write it off folks, the major disadvantage the JU88 will have is it's light bombload.

I think the JU-88 will be ok, after all we need to remember one thing. Even if a lone bomber is toast for a fighter, 3 or more in a tight box with good escorts are a whole nother ball game!

And, like was mentioned above, once we get a navy we'll want the abilty to drop those twin torps it carries.

As for the stuka, by all means lets have it.
Can't wait to see what twin 37mm loadout would do to tanks.  Will it need escorts, of course! Will it rock, dunno, lets find out
